Dobromir Ivan is the last pupil of legendary Joseph Beuys, graduate of Art Academy, Duesseldorf, Germany. Continued his studies in Italy, the US and Greece. He is co-founder of the Der Meteor artists society. A major theme in his sculptures and installations is “Mankind, history and perception”. His first show was held at the Eleni Koroneou Gallery, Athens, in 1988. Since then he has had various commissions and exhibitions throughout Europe. His motto as a sculptor is: “What you get is what you can’t see.” Dobromir Ivan is quite colorful person, with a lot of knowledge and stories to share. His work can be seen around Europe, USA in musieums and private collections, but the one and only monument of Prof. Joseph Beuys that Dobromir Ivan have created can be seen in Sofia, Bulgaria.
